The draft is the next order of business for the Pittsburgh Steelers after the NFL combine this week.

In the meantime, die-hard fans who need their NFL fix are examining mock drafts after mock draft to get an idea of who the Steelers could target for their big board.

Nick Farabaugh, Steelers insider for PennLive, noted that Khan omitted the wide receiver position when discussing strengths in this year’s draft class.

Omar Khan said the notable strengths in this draft class are at DL, DB, RB, EDGE, and OL.

Didn’t mention WR. A notable exception.

Pittsburgh selected Roman Wilson in the third round of the 2024 NFL draft. Battling various injuries, Wilson appeared in just one game last season. He’ll essentially be going into his second rookie season in 2025.

The Steelers are expected to make a play for a veteran, and with so many other positions of need, a rookie wide receiver doesn’t appear to be a top priority.
