Pittsburgh Steelers general manager Omar Khan has been very aggressive this offseason, but he doesn’t want any praise. He has his eyes set on one thing, and that’s to win a Super Bowl this season. That’s all that matters.

“Well, with respect to the credit, until we win a Super Bowl, I don’t really deserve any credit,” Khan said on The Pat McAfee Show from St. Vincent College on Wednesday. “The reality is that our goal is to win a Super Bowl this year. Every move we make is reflective of that, and we understand we can’t sacrifice the future.”

The Steelers made a slew of moves this offseason, bringing in the likes of Aaron Rodgers, DK Metcalf, Darius Slay, Jalen Ramsey and Jonnu Smith. The Steelers historically build though the draft, but general manager Omar Khan knew drastic changes had to be made after the team got embarrassed by the Baltimore Ravens in the Wild Card game last January.

The Steelers have also not won a playoff game since 2016, which is the longest drought for the franchise since pre-1972.

“I think going into the offseason we reflected on how things ended last year and that wasn’t good enough,” Khan said. “They were all case by case (situations). We just gotta be better and the way last year ended left a bad taste in our mouths. And that’s unacceptable.”

The Steelers traded for Metcalf, Ramsey and Smith, but they did not take away from the team’s overall draft capital. The Steelers are expected to go all-in for a quarterback in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Khan might not be done making moves, either.

“We want a Super Bowl this year,” Khan said. “The moves that we made and how we structured these contracts is with that goal in mind… You never say you are done, but I really like the group that we have here. We have done a lot this offseason, but we will see. If there’s ever an opportunity to improve the team, we will think about it and talk about it, but we feel good about the team, Pat.”
