The Pittsburgh Steelers have given away former wide receiver George Pickens’ No. 14 to their newest signing.

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced the signing of wide receiver Montana Lemonious-Craig on Tuesday and revealed he will wear a number that was very recently worn by another player.

Lemonious-Craig will wear No. 14, which was last worn by former wide receiver George Pickens, who was traded to the Dallas Cowboys earlier this month.

The 6-foot-2, 194-pound wide receiver was an undrafted free agent out of Arizona in the 2025 NFL Draft. He tried out during the Steelers rookie minicamp and now joins a wide receiver room that includes DK Metcalf, Robert Woods, Calvin Austin III, Roman Wilson, Scotty Miller, Ben Skowronek, Brandon Johnson, Lance McCutcheon and Roc Taylor.

Lemonious-Craig recorded 45 catches for 468 yards and four touchdowns during his two seasons at Arizona. He also played three seasons at Colorado, where he had 34 catches for 497 yards and five touchdowns.

He scored a 5.57 Relative Athletic Score (RAS) out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 1692 out of 3815 wide receivers from 1987 to 2025. Lemonious-Craig also posted a 35-inch vertical and ran a 4.54 40-yard dash at his pro day.

The 22-year-old’s jersey selection also ends any speculation that new wide receiver DK Metcalf will switch back to No. 14, which he has worn for the past six years with the Seattle Seahawks.

When Metcalf was traded to Pittsburgh, he switched to No. 4 since No. 14 was already taken by Pickens.

New running back Kenneth Gainwell also wore No. 14 for the past four years with the Philadelphia Eagles but changed to No. 21 when he signed with the Steelers.
