UNITY TWP. Pa. — Left tackle Broderick Jones is expected to return to practice when the Pittsburgh Steelers return to action on Wednesday at St. Vincent College, head coach Mike Tomlin said on Tuesday.

Jones suffered an unspecified, lower-body soft-tissue injury at practice earlier this week. He attempted to practice through the ailment on Sunday, but was unable to, taking only a few reps of seven shots before shedding his uniform and watching the rest of practice.

While Steelers practice on Tuesday was moved inside due to thunderstorms and rain, Jones was not in uniform as the players walked down to the field at St. Vincent College.

But it seems that his issue is minor, as Tomlin he expects him to practice on Wednesday.

“He should be out there tomorrow,” Tomlin said.

Without Jones in the lineup, both Calvin Anderson and Dylan Cook have taken snaps at left tackle. Anderson worked in seven shots in place of Jones, but Cook took most of the team reps on Sunday. Anderson was back at left tackle for walkthroughs before practice on Tuesday.
