PITTSBURGH — Wide receiver DK Metcalf said on Wednesday that he felt confident that he would be able to return for the Pittsburgh Steelers against the Buffalo Bills this Sunday, despite missing the team’s first practice of Week 13 at UPMC Rooney Sports Complex.
On Thursday, Metcalf fulfilled his promise, returning to practice in a full capacity. He still has his left ankle wrapped, but it looks like a good sign for Metcalf to return to action for the Steelers this week.
The same can’t be said for fellow wide receiver Ben Skowronek, who missed his second straight practice on Thursday with a shoulder injury. That could mean this week could mark the Steelers debut of backup X receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling.
