The Pittsburgh Steelers’ quarterback situation is their most glaring question this offseason. Bookies.com oddsmaker Adam Thompson has an answer in the form of Kirk Cousins.

Thompson lists the veteran signal-caller as having +300 odds to land with the Steelers after just one season in Atlanta. Heading into his 14th year in the NFL, he’d likely take command of a position room that fielded a mix of fellow retreads Russell Wilson and Justin Fields this past campaign.

Other possible suitors for Cousins include the Las Vegas Raiders (+475), Cleveland Browns (+500), New York Giants (+650), Tennessee Titans (+675), and New York Jets (+900). His odds to remain with the Falcons are fixed at +500.

Cousins signed a four-year, $180 million deal with Atlanta last March. Then, the Falcons surprisingly drafted and later supplanted him with former Washington signal-caller Michael Penix Jr. Penix finished second the Heisman Trophy voting in 2023.

“He’s been in the league,” Penix said after being drafted. “He’s been in there for a while. He’s played a lot of football. I feel like I’m going to come in and I’m going to learn. I’m going to learn from him.”

Cousins took over as Washington’s primary guy behind center in 2015. Just twice he’s suffered a losing record, in 2017 and 2020. The former go-round was his last with the team that drafted him. Soon after, Cousins put pen to paper on a three-year, $84 million deal with Minnesota. His time with the Vikings ended after he tore his Achilles in 2023.

Kirk Cousins went 7-7 as a starter for the Falcons this past season. He threw for 3,508 yards, 18 touchdowns, and had a league-high 16 interceptions. Cousins has gone 83-74-2 as an NFL starter. He’s 1-3 in the postseason.
