Behind the Steel Curtain
The Pittsburgh Steelers released their final injury report on Friday, with edge rusher Alex Highsmith, linebacker Cole Holcomb, and cornerback Darius Slay all ruled out. Cornerback Cory Trice was listed as questionable on the final injury report, but has now been downgraded to out, the team announced.
Trice hasn’t played at all this season and only played in six games in 2024 due to injury. He was placed on IR at the end of August and had his 21-day window opened ahead of Week 9. If he isn’t activated by Tuesday, his season is over.
Trice was drafted in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft, but was lost for the season in training camp after tearing his ACL. He had a big splash play in Week 2 of the 2024 season, picking off Bo Nix in the end zone to kill a potential scoring drive. He has appeared in six games since being drafted.
