BALTIMORE — Aaron Rodgers could be in some trouble. Following a 12-yard completion on a second-and-17 from the Pittsburgh Steelers’ 13-yard line, left tackle Andrus Peat sat on the ground for a moment. He slowly got to his feet and walked off the field.
Dylan Cook replaced Peat to protect Aaron Rodgers’ blindside. When Peat exited, with 6:11 to go in the third quarter, the Steelers had passed for 204 yards and rushed for another 31. After briefly going into the blue medical tent on the sideline, Peat emerged without his helmet and headed to the locker room.
Peat was evaluated for a concussion and is questionable to return.
Peat, an 11th-year pro, was the No. 13 overall pick of the 2015 NFL Draft. He spent the first nine seasons of his career with the New Orleans Saints, then played for the Las Vegas Raiders last season.
The Steelers’ starting left tackle, Broderick Jones, suffered a neck injury in the team’s loss to the Chicago Bears two weeks ago. Calvin Anderson (knee) was injured in practice on Wednesday, thinning out the Steelers’ offensive line even more.
A few plays after Peat was hurt, Rodgers hit tailback Jaylen Warren for a 38-yard touchdown pass to help put his side up 27-16.
