The Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Carolina Panthers in the preseason finale 19-10. However, Steelers fans were holding their breath for a good while after first-round pick Derrick Harmon went down with a knee injury. The Oregon product was carted off the sideline after going into the blue tent, leaving many to prepare for the worst.

Good news seemed to be on the way, though, when Harmon was shown on the sideline in street clothes, laughing with Cam Heyward and T.J. Watt. Head coach Mike Tomlin was asked about the injury afterwards and revealed that Harmon suffered a knee sprain, the severity of which is still being evaluated.

After what looked like a potentially serious injury, this is a very positive update for the rookie. Now, we wait to find out the overall severity of the injury and see how much time he will miss, if any at all.
