The Pittsburgh Steelers will be facing against the Houston Texans in the Wild Card Round, and it shoud be a good battle between two teams who have led with their defense this season. On offense, both teams have skill players who they have to watch out for, and head coach Demeco Ryans already has his eyes on DK Metcalf.

“Metcalf gives them their full offense,” Ryans said, via the team’s official transcript. “He lines up as an outside receiver. He does an outstanding job of playing physical. That’s the one thing that sticks out to me with him, is that he’s a physical receiver whether he’s running the go ball, slants, whatever. He plays physical. So, we have to challenge him. We have to step up to the challenge there, we have to play physical versus him as well. It’s going to be a tough challenge. He’s done a great job his entire career of making big plays down the field.

“I know they’re excited to get him back because he’s such a huge part of their offense. Aaron [Rodgers] will definitely look to go to him a ton. We have our hands full when it comes to challenging him and trying to make a play when the ball is up.”

Metcalf was big for the Steelers’ offense this season, and he finished with 850 yards and six touchdowns. There’s chance that he could’ve finished with 1,000 yards, but he was suspended for the last two games of the regular season because of an altercation with a Detroit Lions’ fan.

Now that Metcalf is back, Rodgers has his No. 1 weapon, and there’s no doubt he’ll try to get him involved early. The Texans’ secondary has played this season, but it’s not everyday you come across a physical, fast receiver like Metcalf.

It should be chess matchup all day with Metcalf and who the Texans decide to cover him with, which will most likely be Derek Stingley Jr.
