๐ Dan Rooney III talked about the historic day for the Pittsburgh Steelers franchise with the announcement that the team will play the first NFL regular season game in Ireland in 2025. Rooney, who is the son of team president Art Rooney II, is the business strategy director for the Steelers.
โIt does feel like a full circle moment,โ Rooney said.
Rooney also called Ireland a special place for the Rooney family.
โIt is a really special place in our hearts,โ he said. โThe fact that we can now bring the Pittsburgh Steelers there for a regular season game at the historic Croke Park is truly a dream come true for our franchise. We canโt wait to kick the game off.โ

๐ Croke Park has also already played host to a preseason game between the Steelers and Chicago Bears back in 1997. The Steelers defeated the Bears 30-17 in the contest.
