The Pittsburgh Steelers continue to show heavy interest in adding significant wide receiver talent in the 2025 NFL Draft, with wide receivers coach Zach Azzanni at yet another pro day on Friday.

Azzanni was at the Ole Miss pro day on Friday, where he scouted a pair of potential Steelers draft fits, including projected second-round pick Tre Harris.

Azzanni has been the busiest of the Steelers position coaches on the pro day circuit. He was at Tennessee to see Dont’e Thornton earlier this month, went to the Big 12 pro day for Jack Bech and Savion Williams of TCU and Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel of Iowa State, and was at Pitt on Wednesday to see Konata Mumpfield.

At Ole Miss on Friday, he scouted Harris and potential day three picks Antwane Wells Jr. and Jordan Watkins.

Harris had a hugely productive college career that spanned five seasons between Louisiana Tech and Ole Miss. In just eight games in 2024, he recorded 1,030 yards on 60 receptions, setting career highs despite missing several games with a groin injury.

The 6-foot-2 3/8, 205-pound receiver has shown impressive ability to corral combat catches, making good use of his 38 1/2-inch vertical jump. He ran a 4.54-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine and a 9.21 Relative Athletic Score.

Harris is currently the No. 59 player on the NFL Mock Draft Database consensus big board, one of a large group of second-day receivers the Steelers have been highly scouting, including Bech, Higgins, Noel, Williams, Stanford’s Elic Ayomanor, Texas’ Isaiah Bond, and Colorado State’s Tory Horton.

They’ve also taken long looks at some of the first-round options, with general manager Omar Khan, head coach Mike Tomlin and offensive coordinator Arthur Smith at the pro days of Ohio State’s Emeka Egbuka and Texas’ Matthew Golden, both potential options for the team at No. 21 overall.
