Welcome to Steelers Morning Rush, our new daily short-form podcast with Alan Saunders, giving a longer perspective on a single news topic surrounding the Pittsburgh Steelers or the National Football League. Today, it’s the Week 7 game against the Cincinnati Bengals and what it means for the 2025 season.

A win over Cincinnati would put the Steelers a massive 3.5 games ahead of the rest of the AFC North. That would be the biggest divisional lead for any team since the final week of the 2019 season, and having such a head start at this point in the season is nearly unprecedented. Not even when the Steelers started 11-0 in 2020 did they have such a clear path to a divisional title.

There’s no such thing as a must-win game this early in the season — especially when a team is 4-1 — but if the Black and Gold want a home playoff game, this is the kind of game they have to win. Alan breaks it down.
