The Pittsburgh Steelers have re-signed offensive lineman Aiden Williams to a reserve/future contract for the 2026 season, the team announced on Tuesday.

Williams, a 6-foot-5, 314-pound offensive lineman joined the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of Division II Minnesota-Duluth. He suffered a knee injury in August that cost him most of the preseason and was released.

The Steelers brought Williams back to their practice squad on Aug. 29, but it was a short stay, as he was cut once again on Sept. 3. Williams signed with the Carolina Panthers practice squad on Oct. 1, but spent just a week in Carolina before again being released.

Williams played 54 snaps in the preseason opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars, all at right guard. He had 32 pass-block snaps and allowed just one pressure, per Pro Football Focus, giving him a pass blocking efficiency of 98.3.

He started his college career at tight end before moving to tackle with the Bulldogs. The Steelers first scouted him at the 2025 East-West Shrine Bowl.

A native of Anchorage, Alaska, Williams started his collegiate career as a tight end before moving to tackle. With the Steelers, he made the transition to guard, where he played in the team’s first preseason game before a left knee injury kept him out for the rest of the preseason.
