With an hour to go until kickoff, the Steelers and Bengals released their inactive lists ahead of Thursday night’s matchup.
As expected, the Bengals are without star defensive end Trey Hendrickson, but they will also be missing another starter: cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt will be inactive against Pittsburgh.
The move comes as a surprise. Taylor-Britt played 49 defensive snaps last week for the Bengals and is a starter. He also didn’t have an injury designation all week, making him a healthy scratch per Bengals reporters.
Taylor-Britt is now the second benching the Bengals have made in the last week. Head coach Zac Taylor replaced starting linebacker Logan Wilson with rookie Barrett Carter against the Packers on Sunday.
As for the Steelers, their inactive list is as expected. Safety DeShon Elliott will play after being listed as questionable before the game for personal reasons. Wide receiver Calvin Austin III is still injured and won’t be in the lineup. And Esezi Otomewo holds onto his active roster spot over fellow defensive linemen Logan Lee and DeMarvin Leal.
