The Pittsburgh Steelers have emerged as one of the top potential landing spots for Miami Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill, according to odds released by FloridaBet.com. The Steelers are listed at +1750, giving them a 5.4% chance of acquiring the dynamic playmaker, the second-best odds among all teams.
The speculation follows a recent move by Pittsburgh that shook up its receiving corps — the trade of wide receiver George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for a third-round pick. With Pickens gone, and after already committing heavily to newly acquired star DK Metcalf, the Steelers are still in need of a legitimate No. 2 option at wide receiver.
Hill, one of the most explosive players in the league, saw his 2024 season end in controversy as the Dolphins stumbled to an 8-9 finish and missed the playoffs. Following the team’s final game, Hill offered a candid and uncertain outlook about his future with the franchise.
“I don’t even know, bruh,” Hill told Omar Kelly of the Miami Herald. “This is my first time I haven’t been in the playoffs, man, so, I mean, for me, I’ve just got to do what’s best for me and my family. If that’s here, or wherever the case may be, I’m [about to] open that door for myself.”
While his comments stirred speculation about a potential split, tensions have reportedly cooled in Miami. According to the same betting site, Hill is still heavily favored to remain with the Dolphins, listed at -525, which reflects an 84% chance of staying in South Florida.
Still, Hill’s name remains one to watch on the trade market. A five-time first-team All-Pro and one of the most feared deep threats in football, he would immediately elevate any offense. For Pittsburgh, however, the logistics would be challenging. The team already gave up a second-round pick and signed Metcalf to a $150 million deal earlier this offseason. Adding Hill would likely require another major financial and draft investment.
Even so, with a clear opening opposite Metcalf and a front office that’s been aggressive in reshaping the offense, the Steelers landing Hill remains a possibility worth monitoring.
