The Steelers signed linebacker Jacoby Windmon to the team’s practice squad, Pittsburgh announced Wednesday.
Windmon played college football at Michigan State, going undrafted in 2024 and initially signing with the Steelers. He spent around two weeks on Pittsburgh’s practice squad that season before being poached by the Carolina Panthers.
In Carolina in 2024, Windmon appeared in eight games, starting two. He logged 22 total tackles, one tackle for loss, and 1.5 sacks. He added 91 special teams snaps.
However, Windmon didn’t make the Panthers 2025 roster; he’s been a free agent since being released in August.
Coming out of college, Windmon posted a 5.68 RAS, showing off great speed numbers but middling size, agility, and explosion metrics.
Windmon replaces linebacker Jon Rhattigan on the Pittsburgh practice squad, who was poached by the Las Vegas Raiders on Tuesday.
