Steelers 70-to-1 to Win 2026 Super Bowl

Steelers 70-to-1 to Win 2026 Super Bowl
Steelers Now Steelers Now

FanDuel Sportsbook has released its 2026 Super Bowl odds, and the oddsmakers don’t think much of Pittsburgh’s chances to win it all next season.

At 70-to-1 (+7000), the Steelers sit between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the New Orleans Saints on the odds board. The Kansas City Chiefs are the shortest shot to win in 2026 at six-to-one (+600).

The Steelers have the longest odds of any team that made the 2024 NFL Playoffs, but the offseason is still in its infancy. Can Pittsburgh climb the odds board? Or are they more likely to plummet?

Same as it Ever Was

No real change is on the horizon. Art Rooney II made that clear during his most recent press conference. He has complete faith in Mike Tomlin even though the Steelers dropped five games in a row to finish the season and haven’t won a playoff game in nearly a decade.

Despite the disappointing play on both sides of the ball, both OC Arthur Smith and DC Teryl Austin remain on the coaching staff. And team brass insists they’re happy with either Russell Wilson or Justin Fields as the 2025 starting QB.

Player Acquisition Could Shift the Odds

The Steelers never found a legitimate WR2 in 2024. Though they were in on the Brandon Aiyuk sweepstakes, Aiyuk opted to stay in San Francisco. They traded for veteran Mike Williams mid-season, but Williams was hardly a factor in the Steelers offense.

Tee Higgins is the top free-agent wide receiver, but are the Steelers willing to spend enough to sign him? The price appears to be $30 million per season.

Early reports have the Steelers interested in outgoing LA Rams WR Cooper Kupp, but would a 32-year-old who’s missed 18 games over the last three years make much of a difference?

If Anything, the Steelers 2026 Super Bowl Odds Get Longer

Last off-season, GM Omar Khan signed a veteran QB to a league-minimum deal and traded a sixth-round pick for another. Khan left the team with a gaping hole at wide receiver after trading Dionte Johnson and never filled it.

The team finished with the same record as 2023 and lost in the Wildcard again.

After team brass announced that no changes were coming to the coaching staff, I don’t think a splash roster transaction is on the horizon. Minor tweaks will come, but the offensive and defensive philosophies preferred by Tomlin will remain.

We’re a long way from training camp. Outside of a splash signing or massive trade at the 2025 NFL Draft, I don’t think the Steelers can climb the 2026 Super Bowl odds board.
