One of the NFL’s best wide receivers from the last decade is interested in playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are still in need of another wide receiver since trading George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys this offseason, and that’s even more true now that Calvin Austin III will be sidelined for at least several games. However, one of the NFL’s best playmakers from the last decade is interested in playing for the Steelers.
Three-time Pro Bowl and Super Bowl LVI champion wide receiver Odell Beckahm Jr. listed Pittsburgh among a few teams he’d still like to suit up for.
“[Pittsburgh] is one of them,” Beckham said on “The Pivot Podcast.” “But there are two. I got to go back with [Sean] McVay. Take me home. Call the family. Tell them there’s a No. 7 jersey that we need to unretire for a year, a couple games. I need that back.”

Beckham, 32, may be one of the most talented wide receivers since entering the league as the No. 12 overall pick by the New York Giants in 2014, but he is not the same player he used to be.
Last season, he recorded just nine catches for 55 yards and zero touchdowns with the Miami Dolphins. In 2023, he had 25 catches for 565 yards and three touchdowns with the Baltimore Ravens.
Beckham believes he can bring more to a team than just his on-the-field play, though.
“I know what I’m gonna bring outside of my value,” Beckham continued. “I know what I’m going to bring to your younger receivers in the locker room. I know what I’m gonna bring as a man to the team. I know my energy.”
Only time will tell if and where Beckham will land, but he still has some waiting to do. According to ESPN insider Adam Schefter, Beckham is accepting a six-game suspension for a PED violation last season.
That means he can’t play until Week 12. However, that gives Beckham plenty of time to find the right fit before potentially being added to a Super Bowl contender later this season.
A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Beckham has recorded 575 receptions for 7,987 yards and 59 touchdowns in his professional career.
