NFL insider Mike Florio is already wondering, just two weeks into the 2025 NFL season, if Aaron Rodgers regrets signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Florio speculated that the swath of injuries at the quarterback position may have presented Rodgers with a better opportunity if he waited longer to sign with a team.

While Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers offense looked sharp in Week 1 against the Jets, it came back to earth in Week 2 against the Seattle Seahawks during their 31-17 loss.

So far this season, Rodgers has been solid, as he’s completed 63.5% of his passes for 447 yards, five touchdowns, and two interceptions. His stat line against Seattle, however, wasn’t pretty: 18/33 passes completed (54%) for 203 yards, one touchdowns, and two interceptions.

During an apperance on a Pittsburgh radio show this week, longtime NFL insider Mike Florio speculated that a bevy of injuries at the quarterback position across the NFL may have the future Hall of Fame quarterback wondering if he made the right decision.

“When you look at all the quarterback injuries now and there’s five quarterbacks who are injured and missing time, Rodgers may ask himself in a quiet moment if he should have just waited for a serious quarterback injury and not signed on with the team,” Florio said during an appearace on 93.7 The Fan’s Andrew Fillipponi and Chris Mueller on Wednesday, September 17.

Luckily for Rodgers and the Steelers, their schedule is extremely light over the next month, as they take on the New England Patriots, Minnesota Vikings (who are now starting Carson Wentz), the Cleveland Browns, and the Cincinnati Bengals (who are without Joe Burrow).

The NFL world will likely know what the Steelers are truly made of in early November, as they’ll take on the Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis Colts and Los Angeles Chargers in consecutive weeks.
