News anchors covering the Philadelphia Eagles’ Super Bowl 59 parade were forced to offer multiple apologies to their television audience due to the amount of profanity uttered by players during the celebration.
The Philadelphia Eagles held their Super Bowl parade downtown on Friday, five days after defeating the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 in the big game. Officials estimated more than one million attendees for the special celebration.
While the parade was broadcast on television, multiple Eagles players dropped swear words in their speeches to the crowd. And the news anchors covering the event were forced to offer apologies to their audience time and time again:

Hey, that’s the risk you take as a news network. When players are celebrating a championship victory, and when alcohol is involved, chances are high that swear words will be uttered.
At any rate, there are countless instances of players and coaches swearing on live television during interviews and speeches. If the Philadelphia Eagles win a Super Bowl next year, though, you gotta wonder if local news stations will be a little more cautious with their coverage.
The Philadelphia Eagles’ victory over the Chiefs cemented the franchise’s second Super Bowl championship in eight seasons. The Chiefs became a dynasty last year, but the Eagles have pushed themselves a step closer to entering the special status as well.
If the Eagles can win another Super Bowl in the next three seasons, that’ll be three within a decade and thus clinch their status as another NFL dynasty. And who’s to say they can’t get there with the likes of Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, Cooper DeJean, Jalen Carter, Quinyon Mitchell and Nolan Smith in their primes?
