Saquon Barkley’s longtime girlfriend, Anna Congdon, has been taking some heat on social media following some of her old tweets resurfacing ahead of Sunday’s big game.
Barkley and Congdon have been an item since at least 2016 and recently got engaged.
With the Philadelphia Eagles running back set to appear in his first Super Bowl this weekend, they’re trending for a regrettable reason, as screenshots of some of Anna’s social media posts from 2013 have been circulating online, which show her using the N-word several times.
While Anna isn’t confirmed as the one to have posted the tweets, fans on social media have been slamming her.
“These men know that their spouses are racist and they don’t care. Much love and luck to them though,” one wrote.
“Wildest part about guys that marry racist women is they are well aware and they think it’s funny,” another posted.
“😂😂😂😂😂. I’m for all the don’t skin don’t matter but when you marry a racist 😂. Ya aura goes down,” someone else shared.
“Can black male athletes please stop dating and marrying these women who hate you and the women that made you,” one post read.
Of course, the tweets are from a long time ago, when Anna was a teenager, but fans online aren’t giving her a pass.
Neither she nor Saquon Barley have addressed the issue; it will be interesting to see f they do.
