Football fans had all sorts of jokes after the Pittsburgh Steelers posted a video of new star wide receiver D.K. Metcalf showing up at the team’s facility.
Last month, the Steelers acquired D.K. Metcalf from the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for a 2025 second-round pick. Pittsburgh then signed the two-time Pro Bowler to a five-year contract extension worth $150 million.
On X/Twitter, the Steelers shared a video of Metcalf arriving at the facility for offseason workouts ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft:

But fans noticed Metcalf’s body language in the short video and are now convinced that he’s not actually excited about being a Steeler. Here are some of the best reactions:
“The face of a man who has Mason Rudolph throwing to him all year,” one fan wrote.

They’re clever jokes and all, but Metcalf obviously wouldn’t have signed that five-year extension with Pittsburgh if he wasn’t excited about the fresh start. As great as he’s been for the Seattle Seahawks, Metcalf will be the undisputed No. 1 receiver in Pittsburgh without Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Cooper Kupp competing with him for targets.
There is also speculation that the Steelers will trade wide receiver George Pickens during draft week. If that happens, it only means even more targets for D.K. Metcalf with his new team.
The 2025 NFL schedule hasn’t been announced yet, but what we do know is that Metcalf won’t have to wait too long for revenge against his former team. That’s because the Steelers are slated to host the Seahawks at Acrisure Stadium during the 2025 season, thanks to the NFL’s 17th game formula.
Seattle will look a lot different when they hit the field against Metcalf. The latter is now in Pittsburgh. Tyler Lockett is with the Tennessee...
