It looks like the Houston Texans should’ve had at least one more fighting chance to defeat the Patriots.

Amid a terrible night for CJ Stroud, the refereeing crew made several missed calls.

In the fourth quarter, Stroud, who blamed himself after the game, went deep on a pass that fell short. However, it appears that his wideout was interfered with. But no flag was thrown, and the Houston Texans moved on to the next play.

A replay of that moment had fans paying attention to the ref on the sideline who was watching the play. It appeared that he wanted to throw a flag on that play. However, since he couldn’t find his flag, he chose to call the play incomplete instead.

“Feel like this official reached for his flag for a while, couldn’t find it, then was too embarrassed, so he was like “INCOMPLETE BABY!” one post said on X.

After completing 10 of 24 passes for 124 yards and four interceptions in the first half, Stroud finished 20 of 47 for 212 yards. The Houston Texans have some tough decisions to make in the offseason.
