Week 4 Sunday Night Football. Tonight we have a matchup between two teams going in opposite directions. The 1-2 Dallas Cowboys host the 2-1 Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football.
The Dallas Cowboys were expected to struggle this year, and they have. After trading their best player, Micah Parsons, to the Packers, the Cowboys opened their 2025 campaign with a close loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. They rebounded to beat the woeful New York Giants in a 40 – 37 shootout before being blown out by the Chicago Bears last week. Along the way the Cowboys lost their new best player, CeeDee Lamb, to injury. Now they face off against one of the NFL’s better teams in the Green Bay Packers.
The Green Bay Packers got their 2025 season off to a great start, dominating the Detroit Lions 27 -13. They followed that win up with a 27 – 18 victory over the Washington Commanders. Two straight wins over playoff teams from last season marked an impressive start to the season. Things unraveled a bit last week, as the Packers melted down in the closing minutes against the Cleveland Browns. The Packers were cruising with a double-digit lead and less than four minutes remaining in the game before the Browns stunned them, scoring three times in the final four minutes to steal a victory from the Packers. Now the Packers seek to rebound from that nightmare performance against a depleted Cowboys team seemingly ripe for the picking.
