Week 6 Sunday Night Football. Tonight we have an interconference matchup. The 2-3 Kansas City Chiefs host the 4-1 Detroit Lions.
The Detroit Lions come into this game winners of four straight games after an opening day loss to the Green Bay Packers. The Lions haven’t just been winning, they have been dominating. The Lions have scored 34+ points in each of the last four games. In three of those four games the Lions have won by 13+ points. However, the Lions have yet to defeat a winning team this season. They won’t change that tonight, even if they beat the 2-3 Chiefs.
The Chiefs come into this game with a disappointing 2-3 record after making it to the Super Bowl last season. That puts them in the unaccustomed position of third place in the AFC West. The Chiefs’ only two wins this season came against the 2-4 New York Giants and the 1-5 Baltimore Ravens, leading to the question, are the Chiefs actually a good team this year? As long as Patrick Mahomes is under center the Chiefs are dangerous, and they lead the NFL in least turnovers by their offense. We’ll see if that’s enough against a Lions team on a roll.
It’s the Lions and the Chiefs tonight on Sunday Night Football. Enjoy the game everybody.
