Silver Minings: Raiders need better home-field advantage

Allegiant Stadium is a beauty of a facility, there’s no doubt.

However, it has yet to become a great place for the Las Vegas Raiders to play since it opened in the 2020 season.

The Raiders have struggled to dominate at home and many weeks, the visiting team has more fans in the stand than the Silver and Black do.

So, a recent tweet, based on home-field advantage by NFL analyst Warren Sharp is not a surprise. Sharp had a ranking home-field advantage, based on the 2024 season, and the Raiders were ranked at No. 28, the fifth-lowest in the entire league.

The rankings were based on a formula of officials, penalties and performance. The Raiders aren’t going to truly turn around their fortunes until they figure out a way to have better success at home. perhaps 2025 is the season we see progress at Allegiant Stadium.
