New Las Vegas Raiders head coach Pete Carroll brings the energy every day to the franchise.
The Las Vegas Raiders changed head coaches this offseason, from Antonio Pierce to Josh McDaniels. One of the worries of the hire was the age of the former Super Bowl Champion, who will turn 74 in December.
However, his energy at his age has already been infectious with the franchise. Players are buying in, and the pedigree is earning the respect of veterans from the outset. Additionally, he is bringing fun to practices, which have gotten the younger players excited to suit up for the head coach.
ESPN’s Ryan McFadden outlined the excitement in his new piece for ESPN. Raiders Center Jackson Power Johnson believes they are having the most fun they have ever had.
We’re having the most fun time in football that we’ve ever had, and that starts with him,” Powers-Johnson said. “... He doesn’t have a bad day. And it’s infectious energy that’s been put on us.”
Carroll can be seen as a breath of fresh air after the past two coaching staffs. Hopefully, the energy he brings to the table can lead to wins for the Raiders in September.
