PITTSBURGH — Aaron Rodgers was not at practice as the Pittsburgh Steelers started their Week 12 with a Wednesday practice session at UPMC Rooney Sports Complex, with Mason Rudolph instead leading the team’s quarterbacks through drills.

The Steelers practiced with just two quarterbacks in positional drills, with rookie Will Howard, who was reinstated from the injured reserve last week, Rudolph’s only backup.

Rodgers has not been ruled out of this week’s game against the Chicago Bears, despite a fractured left wrist. He was not expected to practice on Wednesday, but head coach Mike Tomlin said on Tuesday that he needs to see Rodgers on the practice field at some point this week before he’ll sign off on a return to action.
