Joe Burrow could’ve easily sat out the rest of the year, and nobody would’ve blamed him.
Burrow made his anticipated return for the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 13. He finally recovered from turf toe surgery, leading them to a win against the Ravens. Many thought the team could run the table and possibly sneak into the postseason. That dream is now dead.
Sunday was filled with more bad than good. Against the Ravens, Burrow had his worst game of the season. He even got called out by his own teammates on the sidelines.
He took a late hit on another play in the game, and his own offensive line didn’t even care.
Things only got worse with the Bengals fan base. It appears that some fans near their sideline were heckling Joe Burrow for his performance. Star wideout Ja’Marr Chase wasn’t having it. Footage from the sidelines showed him going off on fans.
Chase told them they could go home: “If you don’t like it, you can go the f— home.” Judging by the way the stands looked behind him, a lot of them did.
"If you don't you like it you can go the f*** home."

An ugly 24-0 loss to the Ravens eliminated the Cincinnati Bengals from the playoffs. Joe Burrow took full blame, saying he was “the worst QB in the league” on Sunday.
They got shut out for the first time in the Burrow era. It was the coldest game at Paycor Stadium in 25 years. The Ravens didn’t seem to mind the conditions, though. They snapped a two-game losing streak and kept their playoff hopes alive.
Lamar Jackson threw for two touchdowns. The Baltimore defense sacked Joe Burrow three times. They have now pulled within a half-game of Pittsburgh in the AFC North. The Steelers host Miami on Monday Night Football.
We’ll see if the Bengals allow Burrow to continue playing out the season. They have nothing else to play for except pride.
