Bengals could end up trading 1st-round pick

This is a strange situation brewing in Cincinnati that is causing other teams to monitor.

The Cincinnati Bengals and first-round pick Shemar Stewart are embroiled in a growing contract battle that has caused the pass-rusher from Texas A&M to publicly call out the team’s front office and he left the team’s minicamp.

Some league observers wonder if it will get to the point where the Bengals consider trading Stewart, who was the No. 17 overall pick in April.

If it does get to that point, there will likely be a lot of interest in the talented Stewart around the league. That leads us to this question, could the Las Vegas Raiders have interest in acquiring Stewart?

You know the saying: You can never have enough pass-rushers and it could be a need soon. Malcolm Koonce is working on a one-year deal and 2023 first-round pick Tyree Wilson is entering a critical season.

If the Raiders think adding Stewart could get immediately and in the future, it could be worth giving up a high 2026 draft pick for him.

How do you feel about a Raiders’ pursuit of Stewart?
