The Cleveland Browns have been exposed for exploiting rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders, thanks to some excellent detective work.
Without a doubt, the biggest storyline of the 2025 NFL Draft was Shedeur Sanders’ stunning fall. He was the consensus No. 2 QB in the draft behind eventual first overall Cam Ward, with many scouts and analysts projecting Sanders as a top-10 selection.
Falling out of round one was stunning enough, but that wasn’t even the biggest shocker. Incredibly, Sanders was also snubbed on day two of the draft before the Browns finally used the No. 144 pick on him in round five.
To make the fiasco even more bizarre, TikTok user @naechism exposed the Browns for exploiting Sanders after doing some research on their official team website.
As you can see, the Cleveland Browns are selling a ridiculous amount of Shedeur Sanders merchandise through their online team shop.
Meanwhile, third-round pick and fellow QB Dillon Gabriel has no merchandise. No. 5 overall pick Mason Graham has a fraction of the merchandise available compared to Sanders. Just look at all the other Cleveland Rookies and notable veterans who hardly have any merchandise here:

The point of the story? Even if Shedeur Sanders never plays a snap for the Browns, he’ll have at least generated plenty of extra cash for owner Jimmy Haslam through merchandise sales.
And as we all know, money matters more than anything for NFL owners.
The Browns’ quarterback room features offseason trade pickup Kenny Pickett, 2023 Comeback Player of the Year Joe Flacco, Deshaun Watson (expected to miss most or all of 2025 with a torn Achilles), Sanders and Gabriel.
