If Travis Kelce decides to retire from football, a handsome paycheck in a potential broadcasting career will likely be waiting for him on the table.

Only a handful of people know what Travis Kelce is honestly leaning toward. Before the Kansas City Chiefs hosted the Denver Broncos on Christmas Day, head coach Andy Reid admitted that he’s unsure of Kelce’s decision.

The Chiefs finished with a disappointing 6-11 record, missing the playoffs for the first time since 2014. They also suffered their first losing season since the 2012 squad that went 2-14, a year before Kelce and Reid arrived.

Travis and his older brother, Jason Kelce, already have a lucrative “New Heights” podcast deal. If Travis wishes to pursue his career in NFL broadcasting, he’ll have another giant source of income awaiting.

Speaking on the latest edition of his Marchand Sports Media podcast, Andrew Marchand reports that NFL broadcasting is an option for Kelce if he retires. Should he go that route, Kelce could make $10 million-plus (via Awful Announcing):

“I think Travis Kelce is one who, if he retires, definitely could do TV. I think he wants to do games, so that’s one to watch…He’s a guy who is only going to take a No. 1 job, to me. He’s going to get anywhere from 10 to 20 million, because he’s Travis Kelce.”

Kelce and Taylor Swift got engaged in August and have a big wedding to plan as well. With three Super Bowl rings and a spot in the Hall of Fame awaiting, no one should be surprised if Kelce calls it a career.

Travis Kelce Can Still Play, But Broadcasting May Be Tough To Pass Up On

Kelce finished the 2025 season with 76 receptions for 851 yards and five touchdowns. If Patrick Mahomes were healthy for the entire season, Kelce might have hit the 1,000-yard mark again.

Tom Brady signed a mammoth 10-year deal with Fox Sports worth $375 million in 2022. Troy Aikman’s contract with ESPN is worth $90 million over five years, as previously reported by Marchand.

Having a podcast deal worth nine figures ensures a nice post-playing career income for Kelce. But the chance to be a well-paid broadcaster for a top network may be hard to pass up on as well.
