Myles Jack had an eventful day last week that landed him in handcuffs. Jack was arrested in Frisco, Texas, on Tuesday after allegedly firing a gun inside a home.
The Frisco Police Department was initially there to perform a welfare check. He has been retired for a few years now. He hung up his cleats at the age of 27. Things have seemingly fallen apart for the former linebacker.
Frisco Police said they heard gunshots inside the home as they arrived. The suspect, later identified as Myles Jack, emerged from the residence. However, it wasn’t from the front door.
30-year-old Myles Jack fell from a two-story window. A perimeter was immediately established after a gunshot was heard. Many nearby homes were evacuated.
Jack reportedly broke and climbed out of a second-story window, presumably to escape. However, he fell to the ground. He was then taken into custody at 7:12 a.m. Jack would then be taken to a local hospital for treatment. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries sustained in the fall, police said.
No one else was found inside the home when officers conducted a search of the property. Despite his injuries, he is still facing a slew of charges. Myles Jack was charged with discharge of a firearm, which is a third-degree felony. He also got a discharge of a firearm in certain municipalities. That is a Class A misdemeanor.
Public records say Jack posted a $100,000 bond.
The 30-year-old is best known for his time with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He played for them from 2016 through 2021. Jack then played for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2022 and 2023. He came out of retirement for the Eagles, but would soon hang up the cleats for good.
In between his NFL stints, he purchased a minor league ice hockey team with his mother.
