Former Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders has made the final decision about hearing his name called in Green Bay at the 2025 NFL draft.

Sanders, who is expected to be among the top picks, was asked in an interview with Overtime if he will be in Green Bay for the big day.

With just over two months until the 2025 NFL Draft, fans shouldn’t expect to see him on stage at all.

Sanders, the son of Pro Football Hall of Fame defensive back Deion Sanders and a projected top-10 pick, said in the interview that he wouldn’t be attending the draft in person so that he could spend the day with the people who have supported him on his football journey.

A lot of draft picks have chosen this route in recent years, most notably after 2020 since everyone was forced to stay away from each other due to the Global Pandemic.

Shedeur Sanders says he will likely host an event in Colorado or Dallas the day of the draft.

“We plan on doing it, like an event thing, and where it’ll be fun,” Sanders said. “It’ll be more family, friends be able to come because the only thing with going to the draft is just I want to spend those moments with my people. You gotta think, having everybody come out there, bro, it’s going to be so expensive. Cost-wise, you saving a lot of money. You get to be around your people and all that.

“It’s not just me that was able to get to this point. It’s like a team. It was a team thing, and it was a team of people that helped me. Allowed me to get to where I am now. I want to be able to make sure I’m able to enjoy that with everybody and nobody be in uncomfortable situations just for traveling and just to show support.”

Deion Sanders Speaks On Teams That Could Draft Shedeur Sanders

The NFL Draft is just over two months away, and quarterback-hungry fan bases are gearing up to either be excited or disappointed about what their favorite team might do.

Deion Sanders seems to believe his son is going to be a top-three pick, and while talking about the upcoming draft on SiriusXM NFL Radio, he highlighted that Shedeur has spent a lot of time talking with the top three teams in the draft.

“He’s speaking to head coaches, GMs, and all that of the first three teams, pretty much, because that’s where we think he’s going to land, somewhere in there,” Sanders said.

Shedeur could hear his name being called by the Tennessee Titans at No. 1, the Cleveland Browns at No. 2, or the New York Giants at No.3.
