The NFL draft is set to begin on Thursday, and one of the most talked-about storylines continues to revolve around Colorado Buffaloes superstar QB Shedeur Sanders.
Sanders has steadily slipped down draft boards in recent weeks.
Now, just hours before the Draft, there’s growing speculation that he could fall very in the first round.
Sanders has consistently shown all of the noise does not faze him.
While his father and head coach, Deion Sanders, has been vocal in his support, Sanders’ mom, Pilar, also made her voice heard on Wednesday.
She is going viral hours before the Draft.
“Shedeur Sanders #2 LEGENDARY,” she wrote earlier this week in a post that has over 10,000 likes on Instagram.
Fans immediately took to the comments section to share their thoughts.
“Pilar is beautiful,” one fan wrote.
“Just gorgeous,” another remarked.
Across four collegiate seasons at both Jackson State and Colorado, Sanders threw for 14,347 yards and 134 touchdowns while also adding 17 more scores on the ground.
While widely considered the No. 2 quarterback prospect in this year’s class, Sanders still has no inkling of where he might end up.
Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders could go just about anywhere in the Draft.
Despite anonymous reports of his entitled attitude, the 2024 Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year has said that he “doesn’t care” about falling out of the top three picks.
Things might get worse than that.
CBS Sports’ Jonathan Jones reported Wednesday that “there’s a very good chance” Sanders slips to the second round.
That is a drastic drop from where Shedeur was previously projected to go.
We’ll wait and see what happens on Thursday night. The first round of the 2025 NFL draft begins at 8:00 p.m.
