Shedeur Sanders will probably not be getting much playing time anytime soon. After the team traded away Joe Flacco a few weeks ago, Sanders was promoted to the Cleveland Browns’ backup quarterback.

Despite being the backup quarterback, Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski revealed that Sanders was not getting reps with the first team offense because they’re choosing to give Dillon Gabriel as many reps as possible.

“With a young quarterback, with Dillon starting, you want to make sure he gets a lot of the reps. It’s different when you have a veteran with Joe,”

#Browns Kevin Stefanski said Shedeur Sanders is not getting any first-team reps like Dillon Gabriel did when Joe Flacco was the starter, because with Gabriel “being a young QB, you want to make sure he’s getting a lot of reps. It’s different when you have a vet like Joe.” pic.twitter.com/tiwPEg8CzY

Sanders insists that he’s going to be patient and will be ready when his turn will be called.

“The greatest lesson I’ve learned through it all is not to worry but to lean on and trust GOD in every situation. Even when I don’t know what to do, I’ve learned that GOD will always guide me. I live stress-free because I know that, no matter what, GOD has the final say over my life. I’m able to persevere through trials because I come from a family built on morals, values, and unshakable principles.”

“Growing up, I had access to a lot, and maybe without my understanding shaped my world view, but I’ve realized that peace, purpose, and faith can’t be bought. They have to be built. True success is who you become while waiting on GOD’s timing. GOD’s pace protects what your purpose will one day require.”

Fans of Shedeur are not happy with Stefanski’s decision not to give the young QB first-team reps.

“I hope Shedeur doesn’t play this season so that the browns can continue to suffer through the sh– show they created” commented one fan.

“If the Browns plan on starting Shedeur Sanders at any point this season, then this is beyond idiotic. Gabriel got 1st team reps when he was the backup, but Shedeur gets none? Kevin always has different rules for different players.” said another fan.

Despite the Browns’ struggle, it really does appear that Sanders might not play this season.
