Shedeur Sanders has been described as a bad teammate by his critics, but at least one fellow player would disagree, as he just got saved from a fine and gets to keep thousands of dollars in his pocket, thanks to the quarterback.
Sanders was selected as the 144th overall pick during last month’s NFL Draft, with the Browns selecting him in the fifth round to stop a shocking slide, given the first-round predictions.
They took running back Quinshon Judkins in the second round at No. 36 overall.
Both rookies were at the NFLPA Rookie Premiere recently. The Panini event, which takes place annually, brings NFL rookies together for media and trading card purposes, while they get the chance to wear their team’s full kit for the first time.
They also perform various drills for the camera.
Shedeur and Quinshon got ready together in the locker room, with the former Colorado star hopping on Twitch as they got dressed.
He made sure his teammate had the proper uniform on too, reminding him to wear the team’s designated socks. Judkins resisted at first, but the QB ensured he got the right ones on to avoid getting fined.
Shedeur Sanders out here saving Quinshon Judkins from future uniform fines like a true QB1 — telling him, “Bro put on your socks, you gotta show the stripes!” 🧦 😂
Locker room vibes, leadership, brotherhood, and a little rookie banter — all love between teammates! 🤎🧡

“Leadership and fashion advice, my G. Nothing says QB1 like saving that rookie from style fines,” a fan wrote in the comments.

Of note, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill received a $7,000 fine for wearing the wrong socks last season, given that they did not qualify for the NFL’s uniform rules.
While Hill could afford to pay a $7,000 fine without even thinking about it, Judkins is on rookie money, and the sum would probably irk him, especially as he’s yet to play his first game in the pros.
Fortunately, he had Shedeur Sanders to keep him in line.
