The Cleveland Browns head into their final preseason game with a lot of questions, just not who their starter is at quarterback, and not a lot of certainty otherwise. A few players on the Browns roster need big games, the running back position is looking a little needy and the quarterbacks need a pecking order behind Joe Flacco.
On Thursday, we saw some changes to the roster, including LB Nathaniel Watson being ruled out for the year.
In general, all eyes continue to be on the quarterbacks. Kenny Pickett will not play in the preseason while Shedeur Sanders looks to shake off his oblique injury as he competes with Dillon Gabriel for the backup spot.
According to Cleveland HC Kevin Stefanski, Sanders is expected to play on Saturday, barring a setback:
As many have noted, the Browns have clearly had Gabriel ahead of Sanders on the depth chart and in the rotation and that will continue in the third preseason game:
Thursday is Cleveland’s final practice before Tuesday’s cutdown day. While quarterback will continue to get a lot of attention, the Browns roster could see a lot of changes, starting with yesterday’s trade.
