Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders has social media buzzing after a video emerged of him dropping a beautiful throw to his receiver in practice with the simple flick of a wrist.

The biggest storyline of the 2025 NFL Draft was Shedeur Sanders’ stunning fall into round five. He was the consensus No. 2 quarterback in this year’s class behind Miami’s Cam Ward, who went first overall to the Tennessee Titans.

Sanders was widely expected to be a top-10 pick, but he didn’t go to the Browns until the fifth round at No. 144 overall. Even that pick was a mild surprise, as Cleveland used a third-round pick on Oregon QB Dillon Gabriel.

Not lacking in confidence, Shedeur Sanders is looking to put together a strong training camp and preseason that could potentially land him the starting QB1 gig. And let’s just say throws like this will only help his case:

The Browns open training camp in two weeks, with their first preseason game set for Aug. 8.

Shedeur Sanders Is In 4-Way Battle For Browns QB1 Job

The 23-year-old Sanders is in a four-way battle for the starting quarterback back in Cleveland, along with fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel, 40-year-old Joe Flacco and trade pickup Kenny Pickett, a former first-round pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Flacco is presumably the man to beat in the competition, given his experience and familiarity in Kevin Stefanski’s offense. But we’ll see if Sanders or someone else can jump ahead in the race with training camp approaching.
