Leading up to the 2025 NFL Draft, some football analysts projected Shedeur Sanders would become a first-round pick. Others had him projected in the second, or maybe even the third round if something crazy happened. Well, something crazy did happen, with the former star Colorado quarterback slipping all the way to the 144th pick overall.

All 32 teams had numerous chances to end Sanders’ freefall before the Cleveland Browns actually traded up to select Deion Sanders’ son in the fifth round. Ever since, the reports about Sanders have been mostly positive.

While he’s yet to officially take an NFL snap during a regular season or even an exhibition game, DraftKings is already making predictions about what Sanders will accomplish throughout his career, and the projections are quite lofty.

DraftKings projects Sanders to spend seasons 2025-2034 with the Browns, then in 2035-37 with the New Orleans Saints before finishing his career with the Las Vegas Raiders from 2038-39.

What’s really interesting is the various stats and career achievements DraftKings projects for Sanders, including setting a new NFL record for the highest completion percentage of all-time at 68.7%. Joe Burrow currently holds the record at 68.6%

  • Projected to win Super Bowl + NFL MVP in 2030 with Browns

  • 7-time Pro Bowl quarterback

  • Enshrined in Canton’s Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2046

  • 62,804 passing yards

  • 454 passing touchdowns

  • 144 wins

  • 68.7% completion rate

As noted, those are extremely aggressive projections for Sanders. If he can accomplish some of these goals, he’ll be one of the best fifth-round draft picks in NFL history.
