Shedeur Sanders is already ruffling feathers before his first NFL start. On Thursday, Sanders will start due to several injuries on the Browns’ QB roster, expected to play “a majority of the game” according to head coach Kevin Stefanski.
“50 plays of game work, which I think will be great for him.” said Stefanski about how much fans should expect Sanders to play in his first preseason game.
Shedeur’s father Deion sounds a bit nervous about his son’s first start but believes he’s put in the “perfect position” to make a splash.
“It’s going to be a little weird. It’s going to be a little strange,” Deion Sanders said. “It really is. I got to admit that. But I’m praying for him, and God has set him up and placed him in the perfect position that he needs to be in. It’s going to be a problem after tonight, though. I promise you that.”
Ahead of his first start, Shedeur walked out with teammate Tony Brown Jr. holding a staff and a rolling boombox.

Fans had mixed reactions to Shedeur’s walkout.
“I hate this. If he plays like a– this is going to endlessly trolled. Just no reason to have Gandalf walking you in with personalized music for a f–king preseason game,” said one fan.
“I love that he continues to be himself even with the ‘be humble’ crowd out there! He already won,” commented another fan.
Shedeur’s first NFL game will surely be hotly debated for the coming weeks no matter what happens on Thursday night.
