The Browns’ GM and his 5th round draft pick forged a great relationship early on
The Cleveland Browns selected Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders in the 5th round of the 2025 NFL Draft, and it seems like Sanders’ camp wanted Shedeur to be in Cleveland all along.
A close friend of the Sanders family and a prominent figure on Shedeur’s social media team spoke to the local media yesterday.
He sat down with the guys on the “Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show” and talked about the rookie quarterback’s pre-draft process and gave some insight on how things went between Shedeur and Cleveland’s front office.
“Shedeur and Coach Prime both fell in love with Mr.Berry. They built a great relationship.”
This hasn’t been the only time that this type of info has been relayed, specifically regarding the relationship built between the Sanders family and Andrew Berry.
It’s still a mystery as to why he fell all the way to the 5th round, but it looks like it was meant to be all along.
