Not many people these days have much faith in the Dallas Cowboys. But it appears that NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal is one person who does.
In fact, O’Neal has so much faith in his beloved Cowboys that he’s willing to risk extreme humiliation to back his team. On a recent episode of “The Big Podcast With Shaq,” O’Neal guaranteed that the Cowboys would beat the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 1 of the NFL season.

How confident is he in his team? O’Neal said that if Dallas lost to the Eagles, he’d find the dress that Charles Barkley wore in his iconic Weight Watchers commercial and wear it outside of his Big Chick restaurant in Las Vegas.
“If the Cowboys don’t win, I’ll wear that Charles Barkley dress on The Strip,” he told co-host Adam Lefkoe. “I will wear that dress in front of my restaurant at the Paris Hotel.”
Oddly enough, this isn’t the first time that O’Neal agreed to a Cowboys-Eagles bet that involved him potentially wearing women’s clothing.
In 2025, he told Rich Eisen that if the Cowboys didn’t beat the Eagles, even without injured quarterback Tony Romo, that he’d wear a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader outfit.
“I guarantee we’ll [the Cowboys] win one of the next two without Tony, and I’m guaranteeing we’ll make the playoffs,” O’Neal said. “If we don’t make the playoffs, I’ll come with a Dallas Cowgirls suit with pom poms in 10 seconds.”
Dallas went on to lose to Philly, 33-27 in overtime, and miss the playoffs by a mile, going 4-12 on the season. However, it doesn’t appear that O’Neal made good on his bet with Eisen.
If O’Neal were smart about things, he’d at least have asked for Lefkoe to give him some sort of point spread. According to most sportsbooks, the reigning Super Bowl champion Eagles walk into their Week 1 showdown with Dallas a 7-point favorite.
It makes the first game for new Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer, and the first game back for quarterback Dak Prescott after season-ending surgery a year ago.
Who knows? Maybe O’Neal knows something that we don’t. But he might want to get to scouring the market for a dress that fits a 7-foot, 300-pound man.
