Shannon Sharpe’s accuser, Gabriella Zuniga, also claims that the former NFL star threatened to kill her at a public gym after she tried to distance herself from him.
Sharpe, who has denied Zuniga’s rape allegations, both in a statement from his attorney and a video on social media, has had a pretty eventful time since breaking the internet with his Katt Williams interview.
He’s gone viral for several things since, including that infamous Instagram Live sex tape he insists was accidental.
Gabriella says she tried breaking things off with the ESPN analyst after the incident, but he wasn’t having any of it. In her suit, she claims he made threats to kill her at a gym in Nevada on October 6, 2024.
“As she worked out, she saw Sharpe aggressively approaching her. She could tell by his look and the way he moved quickly towards her that he was furious for having been ignored,” it reads.
It adds that Sharpe told her to “Sit the f*** down or I’m going to kill you,” and that she refused, replying: ”I don’t want to talk to you. You cheated on me.”
He’s said to have told her that she did not have a choice and demanded that they speak in private, threatening her to get into his car and then driving to her apartment.
The plaintiff claims that, once they got to her place, Sharpe forced her to perform oral sex on him and then raped her anally after telling her that he would punish her “a**hole” and “make it so that no man will want you again.”
Sharpe’s friend and ESPN colleague, Stephen A. Smith, has revealed that the network is considering his future amid the allegations and is taking them very seriously.
