Shannon Sharpe won’t be on ESPN anytime soon.
On Wednesday, ESPN decided his issues in court were too much and fired him. Sharpe has not been on the network since late April after a lawsuit accused him of some disturbing actions with a woman with whom he was in a sexual relationship.

Since the lawsuit came to light, Sharpe has stepped away from his duties on ESPN’s First Take.
Pro Football Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe had just reached an agreement on terms of a settlement with a woman who accused him of sexually assaulting her during their relationship.
The plaintiff was seeking $50 million for “pain and suffering, psychological and emotional distress, mental anguish, embarrassment, and humiliation.”
Sharpe joined ESPN in 2023, following a seven-year run at FOX Sports as co-host of Undisputed alongside Skip Bayless.
Shannon Sharpe took a break from ESPN, and now he will never return.
Sharpe was accused of committing assault, sexual assault, battery, and sexual battery against an unidentified woman in a $50 million lawsuit filed on April 20. He was fired this week.
In the lawsuit, Sharpe was accused of raping the woman in October 2024 and again in January 2025. Additionally, Sharpe allegedly recorded their sexual encounters without her consent and was physically abusive, choked, and struck Doe, and “threatened her life multiple times.”
The 22-year-old woman, who filed as “Jane Doe,” has since been identified as OnlyFans model Gabriella “Gabbi” Zuniga.
Zuniga also accused him of being “manipulating and controlling” and even “repeatedly threatening to brutally choke and violently slap” her.
The woman allegedly confronted him in a text exchange in 2025. The woman texted Shannon Sharpe that “no means no” and that she didn’t know “how to process” the situation that allegedly went on between them.
