It’s not too soon for Shannon Sharpe and settlement jokes. Everyone else is making them anyway, so he might as well.

The former NFL tight end just watched his brother Sterling Sharpe join him in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, but the moment was bittersweet as it was accompanied by the disappointment of losing his job, which he hoped ESPN would delay announcing, and having to reach a multi-million dollar settlement with the now-retired OnlyFans model who accused him of rape.

While Sharpe is out at ESPN, he remains active as a podcaster, running the ‘Nightcap’ show alongside Chad Johnson and ‘Club Shay Shay’, where he helped break the internet in one particular interview.

He was on the former this week when he joked that his pockets are light, asking his co-host to pay him back those few thousand dollars he’s been owing for some time.

Check their hilarious interaction out below:

Shannon Sharpe Is Not Having The Best Year

It’s nice to see that Shannon is keeping high spirits after the few weeks he’s had. Parting ways with that much money – a rumored $23 million – is no laughing matter, nor is getting fired from a job that was set to pay him millions.

Add that to the $100 million deal he was tipped to land right before the $50 million lawsuit dropped, and it makes for a rather stressful existence.

Sharpe still has his personal empire left, but even that’s now under attack. He’s attracted another lawsuit from a woman seeking $20 million in damages from the Hall of Famer and his Shay Shay Media over what she says are false claims of her husband divorcing her because of a flirty moment with R&B singer Usher.

According to the woman, she wasn’t even married, let alone going through a divorce.

He’s going to look back on 2025 with disgust.
