Beloved comedian Shane Gillis had the honors of hosting the 2025 ESPYS on Wednesday, and he predictably found a priceless way to steal the show.
Shane Gillis is a well-known Philadelphia Eagles super fan. Five months ago, he was celebrating the franchise’s Super Bowl 59 championship triumph over the Kansas City Chiefs.
Tonight, he got to star in a sketch centered around his favorite team’s signature “Tush Push” play that has been borderline unstoppable in the NFL.
During the ESPYS, Shane Gillis took center stage in a sketch titled “Tush Push Origins” about a struggling football team with a fed-up coach and players. Portraying a school janitor, Gillis takes up the coaching role and teaches the players to run the tush push play.
Gillis then pokes fun at the Eagles’ opponents by stating that the “weaker” teams will have to vote to ban the rule “like cowards.” After the sketch, Gillis speaks with Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni in the crowd.

Sirianni humorously tells Gillis that they did not draw up the tush push play the way it was portrayed in the comedian’s sketch.
If Eagles fans weren’t happy enough with Gillis’ hilarious sketch, how about the dig he threw at the Dallas Cowboys for good measure?
