Joe Burrow didn’t have the 2025 season that he thought he would. That was primarily due to him being injured and missing a ton of games.

The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback endured another season without the playoffs, and that has led to chatter about his tenure with the team. During the final game of the season, Burrow could be seen taking it all in as he looked around the home stadium. It looked like the face of a man who planned to never play for the franchise again.

In the meantime, Burrow is like any other person when hunger strikes. He tends to stop at local fast food restaurants to feed his cravings. That recently brought him to a local McDonald’s. That is not the typical meal for an athlete, but it certainly hits the spot.

A picture was snapped of Joe Burrow inside the restaurant as he wore sunglasses and a sweater.

Once it made its way to social media, one former Bengals star certainly loved it. Former Bengals wideout Chad Johnson gave his take on it. He was so proud that he predicted that Joe Burrow would throw for 6,000 yards and have 55 touchdowns in 2016.

Joe finally listening to me & eating McDonald’s, 6k yards & 55td season incoming. 🫡 https://t.co/Gox9XZQ9ZE

Will Joe Burrow Be Back In Cincinnati In 2026?

Earlier this month, the Bengals played their final game of the year at Paycor Stadium. Many thought Burrow might be done with the franchise just based on his reaction afterwards. The Bengals missed the playoffs for a third-straight season. It’s challenging to articulate the disappointment of the Cincinnati Bengals’ recent seasons. Joe Burrow is ready for the Cincinnati Bengals to fill their roster holes with quality free agents this offseason.

The Bengals franchise quarterback sent a message to everyone who plays a role in building the 53-man roster. “We certainly aren’t where we need or want to be … not where I expect to be,” Burrow said. “We have to figure it out.”

Burrow plans to meet with members of the Bengals’ front office and coaching staff, according to The Enquirer. “That’s of paramount importance,” Burrow said.

His comments come weeks after Burrow voiced frustration with losing. Burrow has stated he plans to remain in Cincinnati in 2026, and the team has shown no interest in dealing him.

Joe Burrow is playing on a five-year, $275 million extension. The floor for any such deal would seemingly be on the level of what the Texans got for Deshaun Watson. That is a tall price to pay for a quarterback who has been injured multiple times.

For now, he is set to play for Cincy in 2026.
