A 4-2 start has the Seattle Seahawks entering Week 7 with few complaints. Yet, not everything has been perfect. They’ve admittedly had some issues with Pro Bowl cornerback Riq Woolen.
Woolen has started all five games, but there have been threats to his starting role. Only signed through the rest of the season, the Seahawks may be open to parting ways with their starting cornerback for the right price.
According to Sportskeeda’s Tony Pauline, the Seahawks wouldn’t hesitate to trade Woolen to the Miami Dolphins for running back De’Von Achane.
While the Seahawks rank fifth in scoring and sixth in points allowed this season, their running game is noticeably weak. They’re averaging a meager 3.7 yards per rush attempt, which ranks 27th out of 32 teams.
There’s certainly room to improve Seattle’s rushing attack, and Achane, who is just 24 and is coming off a stellar 128-yard, two-touchdown performance, could be a significant upgrade. He’s coming off a season where he racked up an incredible 1,499 yards from scrimmage. The Seahawks could certainly use a playmaker like that in their backfield, and they appear willing to part with Woolen to do so.
